De ‘Willen Winnen Award’ is een prijs die uitgereikt wordt door Voka – Kamer van Koophandel Kempen - aan een verdienstelijk bedrijf uit de regio. De prijs gaat naar een jonge, ambitieuze onderneming die durf en wendbaarheid aan de dag legt. Een onderneming die gelooft in de toekomst en timmert aan de weg. Misschien nog net iets te jong om qua resultaten al in de lijn te liggen van het rijtje indrukwekkende winnaars van de Prijs Ondernemen. Maar de nadruk ligt op ‘nog niet’, want de bedrijven die de ‘Willen Winnen Award’ krijgen zijn absoluut kandidaten om de Prijs Ondernemen in de toekomst in de wacht te slepen. Research Institute for Chromatography (R.I.C.) announces that it and its consortium partners have been awarded a grant within Eureka’s Eurostars™ program with a total budget of €1.7 million for the development of a biosimilar monoclonal antibody in a Quality by Design approach. R.I.C. will apply its chromatographic and mass spectrometric expertise throughout the project. One of the co-applicants is Bioceros BV (Utrecht, The Netherlands) that will be responsible for the monoclonal antibody generation using its proprietary CHOBC® production platform. read more
Kevin Verstrepen of VIB-K.U.Leuven has been selected by the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) to receive support from the Young Investigator Programme. The prize is in recognition for his pioneering research in the development and biology of yeast. read more
