QUINVITA, the Industrial Crop Technology Company today announced the closure of its capital round, raising EUR 1.5 million from a group of investors including Think2Act Arkiv, Group Vanden Avenne Izegem and a number of private investors.
“The financial support of the investors will allow QUINVITA to further develop its proprietary game changing F1 hybrids. The proceeds and the industrial knowledge of Group Vanden Avenne Izegem will also allow an aggressive business development of commercial F1 hybrids and the proprietary animal feed technology QUINVITA acquired. The injection of these proprietary QUINVITA technology elements into Jatropha curcas emerging markets will bring professional Jatropha projects faster to a very significant profitability” said Henk Joos, the CEO of QUINVITA. “It is unique that an investment in a technology company like QUINVITA can form such a formidable catalyzer for a global emerging new crop. With the successful development of these proprietary technologies, Jatropha is set to become the second most productive oil crop in the world.”
