Leuven (BELGIUM) – April 29, 2011 – TiGenix (NYSE EURONEXT: TIG) is pleased to announce that ChondroCelect® , its cell based medicinal product for cartilage repair in the knee, will be available and reimbursed for hospital use in Belgium with effect from May 1st2011. ChondroCelect is the first cell-based product that obtained acentralized European Marketing Authorization as an Advanced Therapy Medicinal Product (ATMP). Belgium is now the first country to provide national reimbursementfor an ATMP. read more

Gimv and Gimv managed funds invest EUR 1.5 million. VIB and UA together invest the balance of EUR 0.5 million. read more
