VIB receives high score from European Research Council (ERC)


VIB landed two research grants worth 1.5 million euros each. The prestigious grants are courtesy of the European Research Council (ERC) and are aimed at giving talented young scientists the opportunity to develop their own research team. The honor fell to Adrian Liston and Patrik Verstreken, both recently transferred to VIB-K.U.Leuven from abroad. read more

International Recognition for Top VIB Research


Every five years, the Scientific Research Fund Flanders (FWO) honors five outstanding Flemish scientists internationally recognized for their groundbreaking contributions to their field of research. This time around, two of the five prizes of EUR 100,000 were awarded to VIB scientists, namely Dirk Inzé (VIB-UGent) and Peter Carmeliet (VIB-K.U.Leuven). read more

Evidence for the selectivity of low dose pipamperone for 5HT2A


Pharmaneuroboost (PNB) reported today that it will present, on August 31st, new study results on dose-related 5HT2A receptor occupancy of pipamperone at the 23th Annual Meeting of the European College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ECNP) in Amsterdam. read more
