VUB TechTransfer bridges the gap between the industry and the university's research and expertise by taking care of VUB’s knowledge, innovation & technology transfer.
As a link between the university and industry, VUB TechTransfer guides researchers through every stage of their collaboration with industry. On the other hand they bring companies seeking research collaboration, in contact with the appropriate research team(s) at the university.
The VUB TechTransfer team provides a wide range of support, advice and mentoring services. They identify research projects with valorization potential and support spin-off projects of the university. This multidisciplinary team handles Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), technology evaluation and transfer, spin-off creation and contract negotiations. Legal support is provided in contract research, licensing and intellectual property issues.
