In life sciences UA houses centers of excellence in molecular neurosciences and in vaccines and infectious diseases. Their core facilities in proteomics, bio-imaging, microscopic imaging, brain bio banking and genetic sequencing offer open access to third parties to state-of-the-art infrastructure and specialist expertise.

Company Profile

The University of Antwerp (UA) is the youngest and most dynamic University of the Flemish region and strongly believes in open innovation and research collaboration. Located next to the 2nd largest European harbour, we are at the epicentre of industrial collaboration and entrepreneurship. With approximately 10000 students, 850 academic staff and 700 researchers, the UA is the 3rd largest University in Flanders. Together with four technical colleges, the university forms an association of higher education with 25000 students. UA has strong partnerships with the Antwerp University Hospital (UZA) and the Antwerp Management School (AMS).

We are the technology transfer office of the University of Antwerp. Our main goal is to make University of Antwerp Research results available to companies to develop and market new products and services built on university knowledge and background.
