Sopachem is distributing lab consumables and instruments since 1971 and has grown to be an established value in the world of Diagnostics and Chromatography (SPE) and Life Sciences. Our main goal is to offer the customer a great amount of added value to our products. We achieve that by a good product know-how and application support. Sopachem is not just a distributor company, we offer solutions to the constantly evolving needs of our customers.

Science & Technology or Services

Our main product lines in Molecular Biology field are KAPA Biosystemes (designer polymerases), UVP (Bio-Imaging systems), Edge Biosystems (DNA purification and competent cells), Mirus (transfection and labeling), Gene Technologies (Thermal cyclers), KPL (antibodies and conjugates, Western Blotting/ELISA kits and reagents), Euroclone and Dojindo.
Sopachem has over 35 years of experience in the field of Clinical Diagnostics with Wako (leading brand in human diagnostics), Diasys and Medion Diagnostics (immunohaematology)
The third area of expertise of Sopachem lays in the field of Analytical and Medicinal Chemistry, especially Solid Phase Extraction (SPE) and Flash Chromatography. Our suppliers are Biotage-IST, 3M and AIT.
The Liquid Handling and Sample Storage product group also has some strong brands: Biohit (pipettors), Porvair (deepwells and microplates), Micronic (traceable sampling solutions) and Aurora Biomed (liquid handling stations). Since May 2008 the pipettor calibration business has been moved to the new company "Lab Solutions".

Alliances

Sopachem is covering the Benelux market with two offices. Sopachem nv is located near the Ghent area in Eke, Belgium. Sopachem bv is operating from Ochten, The Netherlands.

We are part of a group of companies together with Benelux Scientific, Anatec and Lab Solutions, all located at the same facilities in EKE.

Our customer base is a long list of biotech, chemical and clinical laboratories all over the Benelux. So our main business is with the big Pharma’s, smaller Biotech CRO’s, hospital labs and off course the university labs.
