Company Profile

The Research Institute for Chromatography (R.I.C.) was founded in 1986 by Prof. Dr. Pat Sandra. Ever since, the company has focused on developing, applying and promoting chromatographic, electrophoretic and mass spectrometric techniques. R.I.C. offers analytical services and turn-key solutions to industrial clients, as well as to Government and privately owned laboratories.

The company’s mission is to share chromatographic and mass spectrometric knowledge and know-how through: fundamental research, method development and validation, analyses, instrument development, training, consultancy and total analytical solutions and after-sales service in a broad range of application areas, such as (bio)chemistry, biotechnology, petrochemistry, clinical chemistry, food, flavours and natural products, polymer sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, toxicology, forensics, environmental chemistry and life sciences.

A broad expertise complemented with an impressive and ever expanding range of state-of-the-art chromatographic, electrophoretic and mass spectrometric instrumentation and tools allows us to handle various subjects. Typical projects handled in the life sciences area include protein characterization (glycosylation, oxidation, deamidation, disulfide bridges, etc.) during biopharmaceutical development, metabolite profiling and metabolomics for biomarker discovery, streamlining drug discovery and development, etc.
