PharmaDiagnostics is the first to enable label-free SPR screening on a standard plate-reader. Using derivatized gold nanoparticles in solution, SoPRanoTM enables sensitive, robust and reproducible screening in high-throughput. SoPRanoTM can be applied in small molecule and protein screening, including receptor-ligand binding, and antibody screening. Products & services include ADME and physico-chemical properties, and custom assay development in the above areas.
PharmDiagnostics is a research platform technology company. Our SoPRanoTM platform is unique in enabling sensitive and high throughput label-free screening without the need for dedicated instrumentation.
We develop and supply assay kits using specialised assay reagents and protocols to companies engaged in the discovery of both small molecule and protein therapeutics.
Current products include the SoPRano CA1 assay kit which enables users to build and run their own high throughput label-free assays, and a range of functional assay kits for ADME. We also offer custom assay development and screening services.
Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) is now an established label-free analytical technique. However, instrumentation costs and low throughput can limit broad adoption of the technique in early discovery research.
SoPRanoTM has taken this established principle and by using colloidal gold nano-particles makes it available on standard laboratory equipment. These particles can be derivatised with the protein target of interest, for example; upon ligand interaction a quantifiable change in optical density occurs which can be measured on a standard plate-reader.
This technique offers simple homogenous assay protocols, is sensitive, robust and reproducible, and has potential for very high throughput, limited only by throughput of your liquid handling equipment and plate-reader speed.
