PharmaDiagnostics is the first to enable label-free SPR screening on a standard plate-reader. Using derivatized gold nanoparticles in solution, SoPRano^TMenables sensitive, robust and reproducible screening in high-throughput. SoPRano^TM can be applied in small molecule and protein screening, including receptor-ligand binding, enzymatic reactions and charge/redox interactions. Products & services include ADME and physico-chemical properties, and custom assay development in the above areas.

PharmDiagnostics is a research platform technology company. Our SoPRano^TMplatform is unique in enabling sensitive and high throughput label-free screening without the need for dedicated instrumentation.

We offer custom assay development services, and also provide specialised assay reagents and protocols to companies engaged in the discovery of both small molecule and protein therapeutics.

Science & Technology or Services

Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) is now an established label-free analytical technique. However, instrumentation costs and low throughput can limit broad adoption of the technique in early discovery research.

SoPRano^TM has taken this established principle and by using colloidal gold nano-particles makes it available on standard laboratory equipment. These particles can be derivatised with the protein target of interest, for example; upon ligand interaction a quantifiable change in optical density occurs which can be measured on a standard plate-reader.

This technique offers simple homogenous assay protocols, is sensitive, robust and reproducible, and has potential for very high throughput, limited only by throughput of your liquid handling equipment and plate-reader speed.

PharmaDiagnostics offers the following assays based on the SoPRano^TMplatform:

Physicochemical properties – pKa, LogD, redox potential
ADME/PK – serum protein binding, BBB and bioavailability

These are available on a service basis, and assay protocols and reagents are also available for in house use; we can provide applications support to ensure smooth implementation in your laboratories.

We also offer custom assay development services; we will coat the nano-particles, develop and validate the assay and then ship to our client for in house screening.
