Pepric is a developer of imaging technology based on direct imaging of magnetic labels, offering sensitive imaging systems with a long observation window for in vivo molecular and functional imaging addressing pharmaceutical applications in drug development, pre-clinical testing, diagnostic imaging and translational medicine in general.
The long observation window combined with a sharp temporal resolution allows the real time study of slow biological processes caused by slow kinetics, slow blood clearance or slow accrual rate at the target site. The imaging technology uses stable magnetic labels increasing flexibility for label preparation and animal preparation and reducing the radiation burden.
Pepric develops scanner systems for direct visualization of magnetic labels. When the magnetic nanoparticle labels selectively bind with a target molecule or when the particles find their final biodistribution within a specific tissue, visualization of the labels will reveal the biological processes the molecules or tissue of interest are involved in. Long observation window Limited by the final bio-distribution and clearance time of the particles For slow bio-chemical processes with slow diffusion or slow accrual rate at target site High sensitivity Comparable with PET and SPECT Temporal resolution Real time imaging for fast bio-chemical and biological processes Cost per scan Low magnetic fields Stable magnetic labels with long shelf life Flexibility Stable magnetic labels with long shelf life Reduction of radiation burden Flexibility for preparation label, preparation test animals or patients
