The BCCM™ consortium aims to share the biological material of its collections, related information, as well as its experience and know-how in the field of fundamental and applied (micro)biology, to the benefit of its partners and clients in the academic and industrial communities. The BCCM™ collections therefore combine scientific expertise with quality in service.
Preservation and distribution of biological material
‘International Depositary Authority (IDA)’ status to accept deposits for patent purposes under the provisions of the Budapest Treaty
Services ranging from single strain identification or characterization, to extended contract research projects.
Several long term collaborations with public research institutes as welll as with culture collections, among others in China, Cuba, Canada, Morocco,... . BCCM is member of the European Culture Collections’ Organisation (ECCO) and the World Federation for Culture Collections (WFCC).
