Here you can find more information about which organisations can apply for FlandersBio membership

Effective Members

All organisations with a seat of exploitation and/or a core activity in Flanders, belonging to 1 of these 5 classes can apply for effective membership:

  1. Life sciences companies with proprietary R&D located in Flanders
  2. Diversified companies with life sciences R&D activities located in Flanders
  3. Research institutes, universities and hospitals with life sciences activities
  4. Capital providers with a focus on life sciences investment
  5. Service and technology providers for the life sciences

Companies and hospitals apply for membership at the level of their legal entity.

Institutes and colleges apply either at the level of their legal entity or at the level of their division, faculty or department.

Associate Members

Organisations without a seat of exploitation or core activity in Flanders, but with activities within the classes mentioned above, can join as Associate Member.
