Membership applications will be reviewed by FlandersBio’s Board of Directors. Applicants can join FlandersBio activities as soon as the Board endorses the application.
All (effective and associate) membership applications will be reviewed by the FlandersBio Board of Directors. Upon acceptance by the Board, the membership will need to be approved on the next General Assembly. Applicants can join FlandersBio activities as soon as the Board endorses the application.
In principle membership is automatically extended on a yearly basis. Every year, in preparation of the General Assembly (GA), the new membership list will be circulated. Members not willing to prolong membership are requested to react at the GA at the very latest (at least 7 days before). Once the membership list is approved by the GA, a membership invoice for the going year can no longer be revoked.
Annulation of the FlandersBio membership needs to be in writing and can be done at no matter which moment. However, annulation after the GA does not impact the invoicing for the going year. Non-payment of the yearly membership invoice will automatically result in loss of access to member events/services and to the member pages of the FlandersBio website. A correction will be sent for previously obtained membership reductions, increased with a € 250 administration fee.
