FlandersBio organises events that provide opportunities for networking and tapping into the knowledge and expertise of all the life sciences companies. We also keep you informed about other interesting life sciences events. You can also send us your life sciences event.
On Tuesday 23 November 2010 FlandersBio and Janssen Pharmaceutica organise the Seminar "Translational Medicine Spotted… in Brussels" at the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. In the meantime approximately 170 participants registered for this seminar.
"Translational Medicine spotted… in Brussels" is a joint organisation of FlandersBio, the umbrella organisation for the life sciences and biotech sector in Flanders, and Janssen Pharmaceutica*.
Belgian pharma (Janssen Pharmaceutica, UCB and GSK) and biotech (Amakem and Pronota) companies will present how they bridge research discoveries and clinical applications, leading to innovative marketable medicines for the benefit of patients. Also the activities of the new Centre for Medical Innovation (CMI) will be presented. Through multi-disciplinary collaborations between academic and biopharma actors, Translational Medicine secures the future pipelines and will lead towards breakthrough products and services.
If you are interested to attend, you can still register on site on 23 November. You will be asked to fill out a registration form, and we will send you an invoice afterwards.
The cost for participation to this one-day seminar is 50 EUR for FlandersBio members (click here for the list of all FlandersBio member organisations) and 95 EUR for non-FlandersBio members.
* Our focus is the promotion of structured open innovation and collaboration in the life sciences. Last year Janssen Pharmaceutica organised a first limited edition. With this year’s seminar we open up towards the French speaking community and other R&D based big Belgian pharmaceutical companies.
