FlandersBio organises events that provide opportunities for networking and tapping into the knowledge and expertise of all the life sciences companies. We also keep you informed about other interesting life sciences events. You can also send us your life sciences event.
On 3 June 2010, FlandersBio and Centexbel join forces to organize a Biomedical Textile seminar focusing on ‘Life Sciences & Textile Technology’ collaborations. The main goal is to initiate cross-cluster interactions and to develop interdisciplinary research ideas leading to new innovations and valorisation opportunities.
For many years, textile materials are widely adopted in medical and surgical textiles. Nowadays new uses like biomedical implantable materials, drug release systems, smart textiles & diagnostics, etc. provide valuable solutions over the borders of a specific research field.
The programme of "Biomedical Textiles: innovations & novel applications" highlights 3 areas of collaboration:
Via the 'getting connected’ formula', participants will get the opportunity to present their company and to discuss current needs and possible collaborations. Through a cross-border collaboration, the presence of a broad area of related expertise will be ensured and industrial and research partners from Belgium as well as neighboring countries will be present.
The seminar is open to academic experts, industry experts as well as business developers, financial experts and service providers.
The cost for participating is 100 EUR (VAT excluded) for FlandersBio and Centexbel members and 160 EUR (VAT excluded) for non-members.
Here you can find an overview of the FlandersBio member organisations.
