The BIO International Convention is the largest global event for the biotechnology industry. Just like last year, FlandersBio and Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT) are joining forces for the Flemish representation in the Belgian Pavilion at the convention.

The BIO International Convention will take place from 3-6 May 2010 in Chicago, US. Organisations interested to participate had the chance to register till 20 January 2010.

What is the BIO International Convention?

The BIO International Convention is the largest global event for the biotechnology industry (about 15 000 visitors each year, 1/3 from outside the US) featuring

Keynotes and sessions from key policymakers, scientists, CEOs, and celebrities
The BIO Business Forum (One-on-One Partnering)
Hundreds of sessions covering biotech trends, policy issues and technological innovations
The world's largest biotechnology exhibition (Belgium will be there present with a dedicated Pavilion)

Why joining us?

Participation to the world’s largest partnering event with ample opportunities to meet biotech companies, research institutes and investors from around the world.
During one-to-one meetings you can discuss about business opportunities and research collaborations.
Ample networking opportunities: we will organise a Flemish networking dinner (3/05/2010), a Belgian Breakfast Meeting (4/05/2010) and the Belgian Café (4/05/2010)
Visibility for your organisation on the Belgian Pavilion - where you can also set up private meetings in the dedicated seated area - and in the printed catalogue
Follow-up by one of our collaborators on the Pavilion: we ensure presence on the Pavilion, so that you don’t miss any interesting contacts
Active distribution of your company information to interested parties – we will send you an interesting proposal for combined shipping of your PR materials to the US
Smooth hotel bookings: we help you with the hotel reservations - we already took care of a group reservation in the Hyatt Regency hotel.

What is the cost for participation?

The cost for enjoying the services described above is 250 EUR*

* Beneath you can find an overview of the costs that are not included but for which your company can ask subsidies at Flanders Investment & Trade.

Your BIO Registration Package
There are the 3 main Registration Packages at BIO:
1. Full Convention Access including participation to the BIO’s Partnering Event (this is the package we advise) - Cost = $2,195**

2. Full Convention Access - Cost = $1,695**
3. Exhibition Access - Cost = free if you join FIT and FlandersBio
