FlandersBio is the umbrella organisation for the life sciences and biotechnology sector in Flanders. Founded in 2004 as a not-for-profit (vzw), it is a fee based organisation and currently has more than 180 members.
FlandersBio’s mission is to support and further develop the life sciences and biotechnology sector. Our objective is to ensure that it remains a strong driver of economic growth in the region. read more
FlandersBio’s board of directors has 18 members and is composed of representatives from different life sciences companies, biotech institutes & hospitals, capital providers and service companies. read more
FlandersBio has a structural partnership with a privileged number of strategic partners. These partners - Gimv & Biotech Fonds Vlaanderen, IWT, Janssen Pharmaceutica and VIB - help to realise FlandersBio’s course and mission. In this way FlandersBio aims to increase the involvement from the sector. read more
FlandersBio is also active in its pursuit of collaborations with other partners. These associate partners offer an important added value to FlandersBio's activities. read more
